tranSfera 1.0 - 1.1

Intersex 01 (Poznan 2007 / Walbrzych 2010)
The cycle starts with a woman lying on a white mattress in the pose of sleeping Hermaphrodite. When the man enters her space, it's like if he entered the stream of Salmakis - he begins the ritual of self-alteration. The man and woman try to become one with use of physical and multimedia processes. They replace natural senses with electronic devices to be able to look and sound the same. But the "remixed" version of themselves remains abstracted from their bodies and is visible only in the stream of electrical impulses and light from a projector.

tranSfera 1.2 - 1.7

(Gradisca d'Isonzo 2011 / Warsaw 2012 / Venice 2012 / Zagreb / Chicago / New York 2013)
This performance is a story of two people in an intimate relationship, trying to explore how much different their sexes actually make them and how close to each other they can really get.
The woman is lying on a white mattress and playing with water - the symbol of sexual fluidity.
When the man enters her space, they undergo three attempts to become one / the same:
1) interskin - an attempt to connect through the skin
2) interface - an attempt to connect through converging to each other
3) intersex - an attempt to connect through sexual actions.
All attempts fail and the woman leaves the man lying on the mattress in the same pose she took at the beginning.
